Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled's Grand Prix seasons will soon be a thing of the past.
Developer Beenox has announced that the upcoming Grand Prix for Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled will be the last for the racing title. Since the game launched, the Grand Prix seasons were how new content was launched for Crash Team Racing. There have been a total of eight Grand Prix seasons, all featuring a theme, such as Spooky and Prehistoric. Since the game released, there have been 40 Kart Bodies, 51 characters, 321 character skins, 40 tracks, 12 Battle Arenas, and more added through these events. Details for Crash Team Racing's final Grand Prix will be released sometime next week.
Even though there will be no new Grand Prix seasons, new content for Crash Team Racing will continue to be released. After the final Grand Prix ends, a new challenge system will be released. This system will let players earn Wumpa coins, which can be spent on items in the Pit Stop. There will be challenges for all game modes, allowing players to play however they want. There will be three types of challenges: Daily, Weekly, and Pro (Monthly). The Pit Stop will feature items from past Grand Prix seasons. Racers will be able to view a variety of items by refreshing the Pit Stop up to two times a day.
Also coming after the final Grand Prix season is a new Time Trial mode. There will be records for players to beat, with each of these times being set by Beenox developers themselves. There will be records to beat for every track, with a special reward that will be given to those who beat all of the records set on all of the tracks.
Even though the upcoming Grand Prix season will be the last, new content will continue to roll out for Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. Beenox will still release new characters, Karts, skins, decals, and more.
