The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has leaked via a trailer on the official PlayStation app, ahead of any formal announcements by Konami.
Snake Eater is often cited as the best entry in the Metal Gear Solid series. Set in the ‘60s, it reveals the origins of Big Boss and the conflict of the original Metal Gear, with his mission to destroy the Shagohad, a weapon of mass destruction that has fallen into the hands of the Soviet Union.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake of the PS2 original, with updated visuals and the original voice cast back. Fans are hopeful that it will signify more remakes and possibly a full revival of the franchise.
