Grand Theft Auto fans can rejoice, as Take-Two has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on track to launch in Fall 2025, despite the ever-present threat of a delay.

It’s not hyperbole to say Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to be the biggest game of 2025. In fact, the reason the release date schedule of the year is so blank is likely due to publishers not wanting to release their games anywhere near it, for fear of sales being utterly cannibalized.

It might have been over a year since the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer hit the Internet, but that doesn’t mean the game has been pushed back. Take-Two’s latest financial results have confirmed that the game will launch in Fall 2025.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Is Still Launching This Year

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed the idea of Grand Theft Auto 6 being delayed to IGN, stating that “Look, there's always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx things,” followed by "there's always a risk of slippage," the company "feel really good about it [launching fall 2025]."
