Former Insomniac President Reveals Sony Rejected Resistance 4 Pitch

As it turns out, Resistance 4 is more than just a pipedream by PlayStation fans, it was actually an idea that Insomniac Games pitched to Sony. Unfortunately, that pitch was turned down.

In an interview with Kinda Funny's Greg Miller, Ted Price, the founder of Insomniac Games, who recently announced his intentions to retire from the video game industry at the end of March, revealed that the first-party developer had pitched another entry in its first-person shooter franchise.

“We did pitch that one (Resistance 4), and it was a wonderful concept, and, it just, in terms of timing and market opportunity, didn’t work out,” he said. “But it was the result of a lot of Insomniac team members being passionate about extending the story further because I do believe that Resistance has set up a really cool alternate history base where anything can happen with the Chimera and where they go and what their origins are.”
