The viral Scottish professional wrestler has seen his popularity rise dramatically over the past several months, due in large part to his self-produced theme song "I Believe In Joe Hendry."
Now, coming off his first major championship victory in TNA, in which he won the TNA World Championship, plus his debut in WWE as part of last week's Royal Rumble Premium Live Event (PLE), Hendry is attempting to parlay his fame into a skin in Fortnite.
Better looking, more match types, and the beginnings of what appears to be the best showcase mode we've had for a while.
Taking to Twitter, Joe Hendry asked his legion of fans to retweet if they wanted him in Fortnite. Within several hours, his post garnered over 5,000 retweets, plus an additional 11,000 in likes.
A wrestling crossover wouldn't be all too unprecedented in Epic Games' free-to-play live-service battle royale. In the past, several WWE stars, including John Cena, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair, have all made their appearance in the game as skins.
