At the time of writing, Sony's PlayStation Network (PSN) has been down and unavailable to all users worldwide for nearly 24 hours.

According to Sony's own official PSN Status tracker, all services are experiencing issues.

Account management, gaming and social, as well as PSN Video, Store, and Direct are affected by the outage.

Players on Sony PlayStation platforms and the web began experiencing connection issues with the service around 3pm PST/ 6pm EST on Friday, February 7.

On social media, PlayStation accounts are clarifying that they are aware of the issues, reassuring users that services will return as quickly as they can.

The social media posts link to the official PSN status tracker, where users can find further expandable details on each service and its status.

No official details or elaboration on the origin of the service interruption have been provided so far, leading to users worldwide replying to PlayStation's social media posts with questions and memes about the outage.
