Capcom has announced that it might extend Monster Hunter Wilds' second open beta by 24 hours to make up for the time lost during yesterday's 20-hour PlayStation Network outage.

Considering how important having an internet connection is for modern gaming (even for games that don't have online modes!), yesterday's 20-hour PlayStation Network outage would have been a pain at pretty much any time. While it was bad for everyone, I can bet that it was particularly annoying for Monster Hunter fans.

Monster Hunter Wilds is the most immersive Monster Hunter yet.

That's because yesterday marked the second day of the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta for PS5, Xbox, and PC. Anyone playing on Xbox or Steam had no trouble hunting monsters to their heart's content ahead of the full release later this month, but if you were playing on a PS5, then you were completely out of luck.

Capcom was clearly aware of the issues that a big chunk of Monster Hunter Wilds' playerbase was facing yesterday, as it tweeted about the situation just after it had finally been resolved. While the first tweet was really just a reminder to everyone that they could jump back...
