After the PlayStation Network was down for almost 24 hours during a worldwide outage, the developers of Monster Hunter Wilds decided to give fans an extra day to playtest the upcoming title. Back in November 2024, Capcom held their first open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, and decided to host another in February 2025. During the second playtest, the PSN was down for almost an entire day, leaving PlayStation users unable to access Monster Hunter Wilds during the downtime.
In a post on X from the official Monster Hunter account, the developers wanted to make good out of the bad situation that occurred with the PSN and offered an extra day of play for MHW. The details on when that extra day will take place are still foggy, but the devs state they will keep fans updated on when the playtest day will take place.
The current Monster Hunter Wilds OBT2 is scheduled to end on February 9 at 7PM PT, so it doesn't appear that this current playtest will be extended for the extra day of playtime. While the launch date for MHW is set for February 28, and a second playtest is scheduled for February 14, one...
