Twelve years after Novalogic released Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, Team Jade is bringing the franchise back to the streets of Mogadishu with its campaign.
The Black Hawk Down campaign for the new free-to-play generation of Delta Force comes out on February 21st.
The developers announced the date via a short teaser video showing Black Hawks going down as you might have guessed.
Black Hawk Down Campaign Details
In a live stream last month, the Team Jade staff got into what's coming, including the campaign length and mission details. The campaign comes out during the game's Season 2, also known as Starfall.
The new Delta Force Black Hawk Down campaign will span seven missions set during the Battle of Mogadishu. Also known as Operation Gothic Serpent, the events were a turning point in the UNOSOM II mission in the Somali Civil War.
While the original Novalogic game set during the same events focused on a broader set of missions undertaken by Delta operators in Somalia in 1993, the new Delta Force game takes heavy inspiration from Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down film, on top of books on the engagement.
