Developer Kinetic Games has unveiled the 2025 roadmap for the Phasmophobia horror game. It details upcoming updates such as overhauled maps, a reworked journal system, a brand-new ghost hunting gadget, and more.

Devs shared the roadmap via Phasmophobia’s official website outlining what’s in store for the popular co-op horror title. This new reveal sets the stage for a thrilling year characterized by fresh maps, fresh seasonal scares, and game-changing updates.

Refreshed Ghost-Hunting Experience in Phasmophobia

The Chronicle update is among the first massive overhauls expected on the game’s journal system. It replaces the photo section with the Media tab that will handle all your sound recordings, videos, and photos.

Capturing those spooky spectral noises will now be easier as the devs introduce the Sound Recorder that you can regularly review for potential evidence. Expect the update to go live as soon as March, but the exact date remains unknown.

Full character customization has been delayed to 2026, but you’ll still get the Player Character Overhaul feature this year to refresh those animations, models, and movement mechanics.
