Players will have plenty of options when it comes to creating a character in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

On Twitter, it was shown how gamers will choose their look in New Horizons. Though players had little control when it came to how their villager would look in previous Animal Crossing titles, New Horizons will give gamers plenty of options. According to the tweet, the first thing that players will do when starting the game is choose what their character looks like. An in-game passport is needed for the island getaway package, which includes a picture of the player's character. Through the customization system, gamers will be able to choose their hair style, skin tone, and facial features. Through the large number of options, players will be able to get their villager looking just the way that they want.

In a second tweet, it was shown that the look that players choose for their villager will not be permanent. If they own a mirror in their home, gamers can change their look easily. The change can be mild, or can be completely different than what was chosen at the start of the game.

It was recently revealed that there will be plenty of villagers that can populate a player's island in New Horizons. It has been mentioned that there are 383 customers for the Deserted Island getaway Package, outdoing New Leaf's 333 villagers. There will be a mix of new and familiar villagers, as well as a number of returning characters. This includes Tom Nook, Isabelle, shopkeepers, traveling salesmen, and other side characters that may make an appearance. Even poor Gulliver may wash up upon your island's shores. It has not been stated how many of these villagers can populate your island all at once.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will release worldwide on March 20th for the Nintendo Switch.
