Disco Elysium Successor Tries To Cast Baldur's Gate 3 Actor, Immediately Rejected

Disco Elysium is an incredible game that probably shouldn't even exist. With the amount of trouble that went on over at the game's developer ZA/UM, which led to mass layoffs and an exodus of talent, it's probably a small miracle that Disco Elysium launched at all. It's such an influential title that it's no surprise that we have so many spiritual successors in the works by former developers.

In fact, three studios announced spiritual successors on the same day last year, and just like the situation at ZA/UM, things have inevitably taken a drama-filled, controversial turn for the worse. With so many out there, it's clear that attempts need to be made to try and set each game apart, and it appears as though one studio attempted to do that by getting some top drawer acting talent on board.

Unfortunately for that studio, whichever of the many it may be, they ended up talking to an actor that wants nothing to do with their project. Earlier today, Baldur's Gate 3 and Karlach actor Samantha Béart took to Twitter (thanks GamesRadar) in an attempt to warn the creators of the many Disco Elysium spiritual successor that they're wasting their time...
