PlayStation has announced that Days Gone is the next first-party in the platform holder's vault to get a remaster, and it's coming on April 25.

Days Gone sits in a strange place in PlayStation's first-party library. It's very much loved by its fans, offering up a different kind of zombie threat to combat, though it's relatively rough launch and lacking critical reception (which was blamed on "woke" reviewers) compared to PlayStation's other first-party titles have made it a little bit of a black sheep for a lot of people.

Will every Sony-published PS4 game get a remaster before the one players really want?

Fortunately for those, PlayStation doesn't consider Days Gone enough of an outlier to not give it the remaster treatment. It's been rumored for a while, ever since rumblings of a "less exciting" remaster close to the reveal of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered last year, but PlayStation has finally confirmed during today's State of Play that Days Gone is getting remastered, and it'll be launching on April 25.
