With Astro Bot winning Game of the Year at last year's The Game Awards, you can bet the people at Sony noticed how this small platformer has defied all odds and managed to snag the most prestigious award of the year.
As it turns out, not only the PlayStation division's higher-ups noticed, but even Sony president Hiroki Totoki took note of it.

Speaking during Sony's quarterly earnings call (via VGC), Sony president Hiroki Totoki talked about Astro Bot's success and how they are looking to expand their game portfolio to feature more family offerings down the line.
"At The Game Awards 2024, our first-party title Astro Bot won four categories, including Game of the Year and Best Family Game – the most of any title," Totoki said.
Continuing, Totoki added, "In addition, the live service game Helldivers 2, which was released in February last year, won Best Ongoing Game and Best Multiplayer Game awards. The fact that titles in genres we are planning to expand in the future, including titles for families and live service games, have received these awards is a major stride towards building a...
