Capcom Wants To Make As Many Fighting Game Collections As Possible

If there's one thing Capcom has excelled at, beyond its latest efforts with Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, it's a commitment to its classic titles. In recent years, the company has bundled its classic Mega Man titles in various packages, as well as the Ace Attorney line of video games.

That's not to make mention of its work in bringing forward its catalog of classic fighting game titles. Already, Capcom has released the Capcom Fighting Collection, the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection and will soon release Capcom Fighting Collection 2 in May.

When's Mahvel? Now, friend.

It doesn't look like things will be stopping there, either. In fact, it looks like the company is just getting started.

As first spotted by Video Games Chronicle, in an interview with Inside Games, Capcom producer Shuhei Matsumoto shared intentions of giving fans more ways to experience classic fighting game titles.

“Capcom has a huge number of fighting games, and there are still a number of titles that cannot be played on current consoles,” he said. “We want to listen to the voices of our fans and provide an environment where as many of these games as possible can be played.”
