Take-Two CEO Responds To Worries About GTA Online Being Sunset After Grand Theft Auto 6

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick responded to a question about the future of GTA Online by saying that the company has "shown a willingness to support legacy titles", suggesting it might stick around for the foreseeable future.

While I'm sure that most Grand Theft Auto fans are counting down the days for when they can leave Los Santos in the rear-view mirror and set their sights on Vice City, GTA Online does hold a lot of memories for many of us. With that in mind, the impending release of Grand Theft Auto 6 has raised some questions about what will happen to GTA 5's online mode.

If games cost a hundred dollars, a whole lot of people won't play games.

It's widely assumed that GTA 6 will come with its own version of GTA Online that will act as the new and expanded base for the game, but that would likely mean the original GTA Online being left behind. That being said, the mode has such a big playerbase even a decade later that it seemed unlikely for it to suddenly shut down, leaving fans with a lot of questions.
