Avowed hasn't even fully launched yet, and it's already getting modded. This comes after Avowed released in early access yesterday, letting anyone with the deluxe edition start their playthrough five days ahead of everyone else.
Taking a look at Avowed's Nexus Mods page, we can see that many of the early mods focus on improving the game's performance. Whether this is through trying to improve the visuals or the framerate, there are already a few fan-made creations you can download right now.
Right now, the most popular mod for Avowed is Optimized Tweaks AVD - Reduced Stutter Lower Latency Better Frametimes by user VynnGfx. It seems to be working for PC players nicely, addressing some issues fans have had with the performance.
Meanwhile, Nexus user Caites has shared a few mods that make the game a little less frustrating. One buffs companions, making them more useful; another makes the death screens shorter; and a third one gives you access to all of the game's abilities.
Avowed has varied combat and a substantial length, but feels too shallow to sustain itself.
Obsidian games do tend to attract dedicated modding communities (looking at you Fallout: New Vegas), so it's no surprise...
