In case you didn't know, the first Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test kicked off today, though players had more time fighting off server goblins than actual enemies.

Those on PS5 who did manage to play, consider yourselves lucky. Most players on the platform ran into server problems right from the get-go. It was so bad that FromSoftware had to apologize on social media.

Elden Ring Nightreign's First Network Test Off Doesn't Go As Planned

On Twitter/X, the official Elden Ring Twitter/X account announced the PlayStation servers were having issues due to maintenance. This was a major problem given the test had a limited three-hour window wherein players can login and test the game.

Apparently, the issue plaguing the test was congestion. The FromSoftware account apologized to players, stating (via machine translation), "Currently, the ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN game server is congested, and it is difficult to match. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please try matching again after a while. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to all players."

Given the server issues, FromSoftware mentioned they are considering an additional Network Test session. There's no confirmation whether this will push through or not, though we should know...
