A recent leak that claimed AMD was working on a Radeon RX 9070 GPU with 32GB has seemingly been debunked.
A spokesperson for AMD (via Videocardz) confirmed that the card variant is not coming, meaning when the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT launches, it'll only come with 16GB options.
AMD Fans Hoping for More VRAM In the RX 9700 XT Will Stay Hoping
The confirmation came from AMD's Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions and Gaming Marketing, Frank Azor, who took to the X to confirm that the RX 9700 XT will not be launching with 32GB options.
Though the gains over the 16GB variant that the 32GB could have provided would likely have been very minimal considering the rumored specs of the RX 9700 XT floating around online, the additional VRam would have been a welcome addition, especially if its prices could be within a reasonable range.
Sadly, the card will only feature 16GB, which aligns it with Nvidia's RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080. Both these cards' suggested retail price (if you're lucky) are at $749.99 and $999.99, respectively. While AMD hasn't revealed the price for the RX 9700 XT, current rumors have it...
