While Square Enix isn't done remaking Final Fantasy 7 yet, the latest rumor has surfaced that the company has two more Final Fantasy games being remade.

Before reading further, remember that this is a rumor, though one coming from a credible source, hence why it bears reporting.

Final Fantasy 9 and FF Tactics Remakes Said To Be In Development

The news comes from reliable leaker NateTheHate, who has leaked a bunch of news items that turned out to be the real deal (the most recent is the leak that there would be a new State of Play by Sony that turned out to be true).

According to NateTheHate, Square Enix is developing Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy Tactics, though neither is set to be released soon.

Replying to a user on X, NateTheHate mentioned we might see it launch in 2026.

Again, both titles have not been officially announced, though a Final Fantasy 9 remake was mentioned in the 2021 GeForce Now database leak, with most of the games mentioned there having been announced or released.
