Disgaea's Prinny Spin-Offs Are Coming to the Switch

Nintendo Switch owners will be able to pick up the two Prinny titles this fall.

Disgaea's two side-scrolling games starring the Prinnies will be released this fall. The two games, Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? and Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!, are being bundled together in a set called Prinny 1-2: Exploded and Reloaded. The two games will come with the main campaigns, the Asagi-themed alternate story modes, all their DLC, and upscaled graphics. English and Japanese audio options will be available for the games as well.

Originally released on the PSP, Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero? and Prinny 2: Dawn of operation Panties, Dood! were a far cry from the original Disgaea RPGs, dropping the turn-based gameplay for side-scrolling action. The first game sees the Prinnies being tasked by their master Etna to get the ultimate dessert. Players have 1,000 Prinnies to get through the levels and gather the ingredients for the snack. There is also an alternate storyline where Asagi tries to become the star of the game. The sequel sees the Prinnies trying to get back Etna's panties after a Phantom Thief steals them. The sequel also has a second story where Asagi once again tries to become the star by fighting off multiple versions of herself.

Along with the standard version of Prinny 1-2: Exploded and Reloaded, a limited edition will be available through the NIS America Store. This limited edition comes with the two games, a Prinny's Scrapbook of Memories art book, Prinny's Awesome Mix soundtrack CD, an Asagi Wars poster, and a Can I Really be a Prinny Block? building block set. All of this comes housed inside a collector's box. This limited edition set will set gamers back $59.99.

No official release date for Prinny 1-2: Exploded and Reloaded has been given other than a fall release window.
