Ubisoft has announced Rainbow Six Siege X as a "major evolution" for the game that's not quite a sequel but is seemingly much more than an update.
Although the past few years have been undeniably rough for Ubisoft thanks to a slew of high-profile disappointments like Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (as well as games it deems undersellers like The Lost Crown), the studio does have some reliable titles. Perhaps the biggest example of this is Rainbow Six Siege.
I've seen the light
Ever since Rainbow Six Siege first launched, it's been one of Ubisoft's biggest and most consistent success stories. As beloved as the game is in its current state, it looks like the developers are taking things to the next level thanks to an overhaul called Rainbow Six Siege X that's teased as a "major evolution" of the game.
