Funko Fusion Developer Hit With Layoffs After "Complete Failure" Of A Launch

10:10 Games, the developer behind last year's Funko Fusion title, has reportedly been hit with major layoffs after what is being called internally a “complete commercial and critical failure.” As a result, over a dozen employees have been let go from the United Kingdom-based video game studio.

News of 10:10 Games' layoffs comes from a report from Insider Gaming, which states that employees found out about the impending layoffs in mid-January, with staffers being told that they would be “fully supported through this process,” according to people interviewed. The report further states that “no real severance package” was being offered. Instead, the impacted employees received what one called “the bare legal minimum.”

The failure of the studio's first major release prevented the company from securing funding for future projects, leading to the aforementioned layoffs.
