Black & White Is The Top Game On GOG's Dreamlist

Black & White from Lionhead Studios launched to overwhelming critical acclaim back in 2001. While the team would later go on to be better known for the Fable series, Black & White is still fondly remembered by many, seen as one of the best god games ever released.

Now, for some unfathomable reason, you can't purchase it anywhere. EA owns the rights to the game, but it was never re-released outside of PC and its Mac port a year later. It's now considered abandonware, although some hold out hope that it will eventually see the light of day once more.

The original Warcraft games are getting delisted, prompting GOG to update its preservation program to offer tech support for titles that get removed.

It is therefore no surprise that Black & White has shot to the top of GOG's new Dreamlist. This page allows GOG users to request games to be released on the storefront. Black & White was already widely sought after for a re-release, but we can now see that this desire for a port hasn't gone anywhere, as it's firmly at the top of the site.
