Mortal Kombat 11 has left few holidays behind, so naturally even St. Patrick's Day is getting an in-game event this weekend. From Sunday, March 15 until March 19, players can jump into the gruesome world of MK11 and take part in the Bottoms Up Tower.

The free update includes a visual overhaul to the Towers of Time mode which adds "leprechauns walking around and floating on clouds, four-leaf clovers, a pot of gold and Bo' Rai Cho flasks." In-game rewards will be up for grabs, including skins and taunts for selecr fighters like Kabal, Skarlet, and The Kollector.

It's just the latest in a long line of live in-game events for the award-winning fighting game which has spared very few major holidays. With that said, it's safe to expect some twisted Easter bunny imagery in a few weeks, isn't it?

In case you missed it, the latest DLC fighter is now available too. Todd McFarlane's Spawn brings his unique brand of justice to the Mortal Kombat 11 arena, joining other expansion fighters like MK originals Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, and Sindel in addition to other licensed characters like The Joker and Terminator T-800.

Spawn's joinging of the roster signals the end of the Kombat Pack DLC bundle, but many fans have hoped and speculated for a Kombat Pack 2, similar to how Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has handled its post-launch fighters. While there's been no confirmation of a second Kombat Pack, the franchise's director Ed Boon said recently that support will continue and more surprises are in store. We'll have to wait and see if this means only more events or if more fighters are coming to the game.
