Almost every competitive multiplayer game is plagued with cheaters. Aimbots, wallhacks, and other such tools make a game easier for cheaters and ruin the experience for everyone else. While we'll never really understand how cheating makes someone feel better about themselves, the trend continues with every new release.

However, what's worse than cheating in casual lobbies is cheating in ranked or competitive formats. Epic Games has decided not to hold back on one cheater, who unfairly made his way into the 2023 Fortnite Championship Series Grand Finals. Not only was he made to publicly apologise, but was also legally obligated to make a monetary settlement, including the prize money.
Morgan “RepulseGod” Bamford was caught cheating in his qualification for the FNCS by sharing his account with another player. Epic Games ensured that RepluseGod not only put out a public admission and apology, but was also made to pay back his winnings, which were then donated to charity.
