Hollow Knight fans have been desperate for even the smallest update on Silksong from developer Team Cherry for a good while now, with many searching high and low for even a crumb of positive news. It's what made the community go wild when they thought that a potential Silksong ARG was found, though that ended up being yet another disappointing dead end.
Imagine then, how many Hollow Knight fans felt when they woke up, checked out the Silksong listing on the Nintendo eShop, only to find it had gone missing. That was the reality for a lot of people earlier today, as Hollow Knight: Silksong had completely vanished, nowhere to be seen on the eShop itself, and it had also managed to remove itself from wishlists too.
With absolutely no explanation from either Nintendo or Team Cherry, panic began to set in. There were worries that an official announcement was incoming, and that Team Cherry was going to cancel the game. You could find hundreds of fans with the obligatory "it's over" tweets, with others praying desperately that this just means it's planned for Switch 2 instead.
