Last week, a rumor surfaced that Square Enix is actively developing two Final Fantasy remakes—Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy Tactics.
However, a single-word tweet from the official Square Enix Twitter/X account has people reminiscing and asking for a remake or a sequel for Final Fantasy X.
Square Enix's Mysterious Tweet Puts People In A Frenzy
The official Square Enix Twitter/X account tweeted (X'ed?) the following word today:
"Yuna." This word alone was enough to get thousands of likes, retweets and comments from RPG fans who connected it to Final Fantasy 10's Yuna.
It's not known what this tweet alludes to, though fans are quick to comment that they want another sequel to Final Fantasy 10, a remake of the game, or just how awesome Yuna is.
For those unfamiliar with Final Fantasy 10, it was released in 20101 on the PS2. It was the tenth mainline entry in the franchise and the first game in the series to feature fully 3D areas and voice acting. Yuna was the love interest of the game's protagonist, Tidus, though in March 2003, a sequel was released titled Final Fantasy 10-2 (X-2), which follows Yuna as she searches for TIdus....
