Hades II Receives Warsong Update, Adding Ares And Final Confrontation

Get ready for the final battle at the summit of Mount Olympus.

Supergiant Games has released the second major update to Hades II, titled the Warsong Update. Along with a slew of balance adjustments, the biggest additions are the Olympian Ares and his Boons for Melinoë, and the new final confrontation for the game’s surface route at the summit of Mount Olympus.

Supergiant has released the full patch notes for fans to read, or, if they prefer, they can opt for a dramatic reading of them by the game’s disembodied storyteller.

New Allies For Melinoë

One of the most significant additions coming in the Warsong Update is the Olympian Ares, the god of war. Along with his own assortment of Boons for Melinoë to choose from, he also has a new Duo with the other main givers of Boons.

Another new ally is Gale the Polecat, a new animal familiar who enhances Melinoë’s dodging ability and can fully block damage for her.

Not everything added is on your side, however; there are several new enemies added to the last area of the surface route, including both Wardens and a new Guardian.
