Among Us – you know, that social deduction game that had us doubting our friends during the height of the pandemic? It's getting a 3D version. Announced earlier today, Among Us 3D will take the space-based blame game to the third dimension, with a first-person view of the spaceship, crewmates, and the elusive impostor.
Since when has Among Us been an assassination simulator?
Not much else has been revealed about the newly announced game, except that it will be getting a demo during Steam Next Fest next week and that can also be played alongside Among Us VR players with cross-platform lobbies. We're guessing it will play exactly like the 2D version of the game, but we'll find out more next week.
The 30-second trailer doesn't reveal much else about the game, but we suspect there won't be much difference from the original version in terms of gameplay, but that is yet to be seen. The one thing that the third dimension does bring is verticality, so there's a chance that the maps may be more intricate in this one.
