Baldur’s Gate 3’s upcoming Patch 8 is adding powerful new Cantrips for Clerics to go along with the new subclasses that are being introduced to the game.
Patch 8 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is giving each class a new subclass, encouraging yet another playthrough for people who have finished the game. In the case of the Cleric, the new subclass is the Death Domain, granting the caster mastery over Necrotic damage.
A new video on the Larian: Channel From Hell YouTube channel has revealed the power of four of the Patch 8 subclasses. One of these is the Death Domain Cleric, who gain access to Necromancy Cantrips that are coming in the update.
Clerics Can Now Cast Toll The Dead In Baldur’s Gate 3
Baldur’s Gate 3 is adding the Toll the Dead Cantrip from Dungeons & Dragons, which forces a Wisdom Saving Throw. If the target is at full health, Toll the Dead deal 1-8 points of damage, but if they’re taken even a single hit points worth of damage, then that range increases from 1-12. Toll the Dead also gets stronger as the caster levels up.
