Doom: The Dark Ages' developers have confirmed in a recent interview that the game won't allow you to dash or double jump like you could in Eternal.
When it was first announced, Doom: The Dark Ages looked like it'd be, well, just more Doom. That wouldn't have been a bad thing at all considering how great 2016's reboot and Eternal were, but it turns out that it's doing quite a lot differently than the previous games.
Doom is a simple game with a simple objective, and multiplayer complicates that.
When The Dark Ages was highlighted at Xbox's Developer Direct, it became clear that id Software is aiming for a more grounded approach than Eternal, with movement looking a lot less bouncy and fluid. That's now been confirmed outright by the developers, who removed a few features from Eternal.
