Netherrealm announced yesterday, following the new T-1000 trailer, that Madam Bo will be added to the roster on March 18. And if you own the Khaos Reigns expansion, you'll unlock her for free.
Since Madam Bo is a Kameo, that means you can pair her with Kung Lao/Raiden and get some much-deserved revenge on Smoke. Maybe throw him over a balcony onto a flimsy wooden table. See how he likes it, eh?
In fairness, that whole segment — which quickly became a meme — was a test orchestrated by Fire God Liu Kang for Raiden and Kung Lao. But I'm sure it'll still be cathartic for Bo to throw him over. Though, that isn't her only connection with the Lin Kuei.
Madam Bo is also Sektor's mother, as confirmed in her intro dialogue. So, as of March 18, you can take on other players with a mother/daughter team-up. It's not Cassie and Sonya, but I'll take it.
