Nightdive Studios has launched the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Steam page for System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster today, alongside an announcement on when the release date will be revealed.

If you're planning on picking this up, and you pre-ordered the System Shock Remake that was released in 2023 via Steam, GOG or the Epic Games Store, you're in for a treat, as you'll be getting the remastered sequel (not a remake) for free.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster Multiplayer And Co-Op Confirmed

It's most just people who pre-ordered the System Shock remake on PC who'll be getting the remastered sequel for free, as those who backed the Kickstarter/Backerkit at $30 or higher will also get it for free (thanks, Wario64).

Nightdive Studios mentions it on the Kickstarter page: "As a reminder, Kickstarter backers at the Humanoid Mutant tier and above will receive a free key for System Shock® 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster when the game releases. Important note, similar to how you received your digital copy of System Shock Remake, your key will be sent to the email that you have listed on Backerkit."
