Call of Duty: Warzone players will be able to try Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer modes for free this weekend.

On the Activision blog, it was announced that Modern Warfare's multiplayer modes can be played for free this weekend. The offer is for those who own the free-to-play Warzone mode. The free weekend will start on April 3rd at 10 a.m. PST, and will last until April 6th at 10 a.m. PST. Players can go to the Warzone lobby and see the "Stocked Up, Locked Down" 24/7 playlist. Two maps will be available on this playlist: Atlas Superstore and Shoot House. There will be a variety of modes to try out, including Team Deathmatch, Domination and Hardpoint.

According to Activision, this weekend will be a good opportunity for players to experiment with Killstreaks, perks, and Field Upgrades, making them easier to use in Warzone

The announcement of the free Modern Warfare multiplayer weekend comes soon after the release of Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. The campaign is currently available for the PlayStation 4, and will come to PC and Xbox One on April 30th. The campaign does not come with Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer mode, as Activision is trying to make Modern Warfare the epicenter for all of the series' multiplayer options. Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is available on the PlayStation Store at the moment, and will set gamers back $19.99. Those who purchase Modern Warfare 2's campaign on the PlayStation 4 or preorder it for PC or Xbox One will receive the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle. This bundle comes with a new skin, weapon blueprints, and more. Players will be able to use these items in Modern Warfare or Warzone

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is currently available for the PlayStation 4.
