Gaming has had its fair share of interesting marketing strategies over the years, and Ubisoft is no exception. I haven't forgotten the strange search engine that Ubisoft released for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the one that provided fascinating advice on how to become a nineteenth-century pimp. Thankfully, Ubisoft's most recent marketing ploy for Assassin's Creed Shadows is much healthier and above aboard (nice spot, Automaton).

Ubisoft teamed up with fitness YouTuber The Bioneer to create a five-week fitness routine designed around the occupations of past (and future) Assassin's Creed protagonists. Think clambering into windows like an assassin or throwing around barrels of grog like a pirate. The Bioneer is known for creating content based on the workout routines of fictional characters, making him a natural choice to design an assassin-inspired workout routine.

Each week is themed around a different era of Assassin's Creed. Week one is Assassins (Altair, Ezio and so on), week two is Pirates (Edward), week three is Spartans (Alexios/Kassandra), week four is Vikings (Eivor) and the final week is Shinobi and Samurai (Yasuke & Naoe). There's quite a range of physiques there, but every single protagonist is in commendable shape.
