The new trailer was part of 2025's Pokemon Day Pokemon Presents, and it gave us a deeper look at Mega Evolutions, Wild Zones, and the game's starter Pokemon.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A was revealed with a brief two-minute trailer a year ago. The trailer was nothing more than a tease, showing off the name, the location, and a handful of the Pokemon that will be available when the game releases, along with the reveal that Mega Evolutions will be returning. This year's trailer went into far more detail.
Totodile, Tepig, and Chikorita, were confirmed as the game's three starters, which is interesting given that both Totodile and Chikorita were both starters from Generation 2's Gold and Silver.
The trailer also confirmed that Mega Evolutions would be returning to the game, which came as no surprise. However, maybe more surprising is the fact that no new Mega Evolutions were confirmed.
