While Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is adamant Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in Fall 2025, not everyone shares the same optimism that the highly anticipated game will be out this year.
In a poll conducted here on DualShockers, the majority of votes (37%) think it will be released in 2026, which isn't surprising given how Rockstar's last two releases, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, saw significant delays following their initial release date announcement.

Unlike Take-Two, fans looking forward to Grand Theft Auto 6 don't have confidence that we'll be able to play the game this year. Given it's been over a year since we got our first- and only- trailer for the game, I can't say I blame them.
