We now have a vague idea of what is coming to Resident Evil Resistance.
On Twitter, Capcom released a roadmap for the asymmetrical multiplayer game Resident Evil Resistance. The map shows that Jill Valentine will be coming to the game on April 17th. This will make her the 7th playable survivor. Jill will be the first free update for Resistance. In May, another character will be released. The image is just a silhouette, so it is not known at this time who the character will be, and whether they will be another survivor or a brand new Mastermind.
After the two characters, the roadmap shows that something is coming to Resident Evil Resistance in June. Instead of a solid image, the month is covered with under construction tape. Due to the fact that it involves construction, June's release could potentially be a new map. Finally, the roadmap states that more updates are to come for July onwards.
Resident Evil Resistance's roadmap comes soon after rumors for Resident Evil 8 surfaced. According to Biohazard Declassified, Resident Evil 8 will have the subtitle Village. The rumors state that Chris Redfield will play an integral part of the game, though he may not be a hero this time around. He appears in flashback sequences surrounding Resident Evil 7's Ethan, Mia, and apparently their baby. In one of the sequences, Chris can be seen breaking into their home and shooting one of them. Another element will be hallucinations. These hallucinations will make it hard for players to discern what is real and what isn't. It will also make it hard for them to know who they can trust. This is a rumor at the point, so do take it with a grain of salt.
Resident Evil Resistance is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It comes packaged with Resident Evil 3. Resistance currently holds a 61 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, and has been rewarded a Weak rating.
