With Microsoft seemingly open to shifting any first-party game to competing consoles, it seems one of the company's biggest franchises is making the move to PS5.
I'm referring to Gears of War, which has been rumored to be hitting Sony's console sometime this year.
Gears of War Collection Is A Rumor That Won't Die Down
Since last year, rumors of a Gears of War Collection have been mentioned by various insiders and leakers, though Microsoft has yet to confirm or deny it.
Over on Twitter/X, Detective Seeds said that the Gears of War Collection file is now on the PlayStation Store backend. Seeds also mentioned that it's set to be released in early to mid-August and will even be PS5 Pro enhanced.
Unfortunately, this alleged leak also contains some bad news. The Gears of War Collection won't feature multiplayer PvP (player vs. player) and will focus on the campaign only. Apparently, the store page for it on the backend shows it as one-player and doesn't show "support for additional players," suggesting there won't be multiplayer.
Bear in mind that this is all unverified information, and as such, it should be treated with a huge bag...
