If you’ve pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Xbox, you can start pre-loading it – all 107 GB of it – right now.
Ubisoft has announced the global release times for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, along with when those who pre-ordered it on each platform can start pre-loading it.
Pre-loading opens on Xbox Series X|S at 2 p.m. UTC on March 4, meaning it’s available now, on PS5 on March 18 at midnight local time, and on PC on March 17 at 4 p.m. UTC.
It’s worth noting that, in certain regions, the release times on PC will be different between the Steam and Ubisoft Connect versions. Fans on Reddit have found that the game will first be available in New Zealand.
No Steam Deck, At Least At Launch
According to Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will not be compatible with Steam Deck “at launch” since it doesn’t meet the game’s minimum PC specs.
It seems like they’re leaving the possibility open for the future, but for now, at least, Steam Deck owners are out of luck.
Console owners, however, may be pleased to find out that the game will be able to run at 60fps at 4K...
