Sony has revealed a new, special-edition DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5, with a design inspired by The Last of Us. First released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, The Last of Us has come a long way, since becoming one of Sony's most successful first-party franchises, and effectively synonymous with the PlayStation brand. It's spawned an acclaimed (if highly divisive) sequel, as well as a TV adaptation that's brought its story to a wider audience than ever before.
Officially revealed today on the PlayStation Blog, The Last of Us DualSense controller will be available for pre-order starting on March 14, 2025. Featuring a black-and-white design, the controller includes several iconic images from throughout the games in glossy prints across the darker parts of the controller's face: skulls, ammo boxes, knives, fishing hooks, and more. Printed on each of the controller's grips are a moth and a wolf, representing Ellie and Abby in The Last of Us Part 2, while the touchpad bears the Fireflies' insignia.
