Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can expect a good amount of events in the coming months.

Nintendo has confirmed that New Horizon's next update will drop on April 23rd (thanks Polygon). Leif, a sloth who sells plants and seeds, will start visiting gamer's island. Redd will visit player's islands every once in awhile, selling art pieces and unique furniture. The museum will receive a new section, where players can donate the artwork that they receive from Redd.

Starting on April 23rd and running through May 4th is a Nature Day event. During this time, players will be able to complete special Nook Miles challenges that are nature-based. May 1st through 7th will be the May Day Tour. During this event, players will receive a special one-use ticket to use at the airport. This ticket will take them to a unique island that is different than the normal mystery island tours. International Museum Day will run from May 18th through 31st. During this time, gamers will receive a special stamp card that can be filled up by looking at the museum's various exhibits. These stamps can be turned in for a reward. Finally, June 1st through 30th is the Wedding Season. This event will have gamers visit a special island to help take anniversary photos of married couple Reese and Cyrus. Players will be able to earn wedding-themed items during this event.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons broke records during its release month of March, according to video game industry analyst Mat Piscatella. The game was the best selling game in March, and is the second best-selling game of 2020 so far, behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. New Horizons had the third highest launch month for a Nintendo published title in tracked history. The two games that it trails are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. New Horizons' sales also exceeded the lifetime of all other Animal Crossing games, making it the most successful game in the franchise.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
