Last month, we reported that legendary game maker Hideo Kojima would be hosting a Death Stranding 2: On the Beach panel at SXSW 2025 this weekend.
We're guessing, given Kojima's presence at the panel, that this is where the Death Stranding 2 release date will be revealed, but it seems there's more than that awaiting players.
It's Rumored Death Stranding 2 Release Date Won't Be The Only Thing Revealed This Weekend
According to reliable leaker billbil-kun, Kojima won't just reveal the release date for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach this weekend at SXSW 2025, but we'll also be getting a reveal of the various physical editions that'll be available for the game.
Aside from a physical Standard Edition, there will also be a Collector's Edition that will cost over $200, and will be available in the US and EU markets.
Unfortunately, what's included in that $230 price point isn't known just yet, but you can bet it'll house something neat, given it's Kojima, after all.
For reference, the original Death Stranding PS4 Collector's Edition was priced at $200 when it launched. It housed a steel bookcase, a Ludens Nendoroid mini figure, a Bridges cargo case, a BB Pod...
