A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is hinting at a major change coming to the game's limited gacha banner, making losing the 50/50 more rewarding for players. While the popular sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse occasionally gives out free characters through various events, the game's gacha system serves as its main way of adding new party members. Each update typically introduces one to two new five-star characters to the limited banner, with fans often needing to spend a significant amount of Stellar Jades. Now, a new change may help fans with one of the gacha's more frustrating elements.
While Honkai: Star Rail's gacha banners feature one main character as the highlight, fans are not always guaranteed to acquire that character when pulling a five-star unit. Star Rail's banners work off a "50/50" system wherein, if players pull the featured unit, the next five-star character will only have a 50% chance of being the limited character. The standard rotation is often made the butt of jokes as well, joking about pulling less desirable characters like Yanqing and Bailu. However, Honkai: Star Rail may be looking to change the narrative on losing the 50/50.
