Hideo Kojima dropped a lot of information about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach during yesterday's SXSW panel. The game will launch on June 26, adding to an absolutely packed 2025 games calendar. A rather long trailer revealed what Sam will be walking into this time, and that he's got a thing going on with Fragile.

Along with that, we also got a look at the Death Stranding 2 Collector's edition, for which pre-orders will go live on March 17, 2025, and will ship on June 26. The Collector's Edition includes a lot of physical and digital goodies that will appeal to Death Stranding fans. However, as with many such editions, it will not feature a physical disc.
Collector's editions launching with a digital code instead of a disc has become prevalent in the last few years, and it seems Death Stranding 2 will be following suit with its own version. While the edition offers a lot in terms of physical and in-game items, you'll have to buy a physical copy separately if you want a disc.
