The Witcher 3 is considered one of the best action RPGs ever made. This is primarily down to brilliant writing, great character development, and the gorgeous open world created by CD Projekt Red. However, even games as good as this one have weak points, and even fans would agree that the combat could have been better.

CDPR could learn a lot from the incredibly underrated Witcher 2.

Geralt is a master swordsman who can use his Witcher magic to level the playing field. And, while the combat animation was on point, it tended to feel a bit weightless, even while fighting huge monsters like the fiend. It seems CDPR is not just changing the protagonist for The Witcher 4, but will also give Ciri her own combat style.

We already know that The Witcher 4 will feature a story event that will knock Ciri down from the all-powerful being she was at the end of The Witcher 3. She will follow in her father figure's footsteps and become a wandering Witcher, fighting monsters and men alike.
