Rise of the Ronin is probably one of 2024's biggest forgotten releases. Launching on the PS5 and developed by Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo, the game received a respectable 77 on Opencritic (and a 3.5/5 from us at TheGamer) but was quickly overshadowed by other titles and swiftly forgotten about. Launching on a single platform probably didn't help the game's chances, but thankfully, that's now changed.

The Steam version of Rise of the Ronin launched at midnight, opening the door for a whole new audience of gamers to jump in. Unfortunately, it looks like the game's new players aren't having the best of times, as it launched with "Mixed" reviews on the Valve-owned platform and has faced various complaints online.
