Treyarch released what seemed like a relatively small Black Ops 6 patch, but the D1.3 Sector’s Ricochet Blades makeover is terrifying. The once underwhelming gimmick is now turning close-quarters combat into a blender of bouncing death.

Treyarch’s true intentions were to revitalize the overlooked ammo but have inadvertently just created the most infuriating meta-shift Black Ops 6 has seen yet.

Black Ops 6's Buff Brings Brutal Consequences

The D1.3 Sector ammo was introduced in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, running since February, and is set to wrap up on March 20. However, the rebounding blade didn’t set multiplayer lobbies on fire and has since been treated more as a novelty—until now.

The latest patch has boosted the Ricochet Blades’ physics and bouncing speeds, ensuring they can now on-hit kill on contact. Like lethal pinballs, they ricochet unpredictably across corridors and stairwells, making it a hassle to take cover without getting obliterated.
