Silent Hill f Writer Says He Wouldn't Mind If It Was "The Last Thing He Wrote"

Last night's Silent Hill Transmission introduced the premise and protagonist of Silent Hill f, a new entry in the series set in Japan during the 1960s. The game is developed by NeoBards Entertainment, an independent Taiwanese studio that most recently developed Resident Evil: ReVerse. Konami is publishing the project and has enlisted the help of freelance writer Ryukishi07 to write the game's story.

Ryukishi07, real name unknown, is an acclaimed Japanese writer known for his visual novel series When They Cry. Ryukishi07 is known for blending juvenile humour with incredibly depressing moments, a unique style that could be a perfect fit for Silent Hill.

In a press release from Konami, Ryukishi07 spoke about his experience with the series and how he feels about the narrative he wrote for Silent Hill's newest entry: "To this day, I still remember the feeling of my first encounter with the strangling and oppressive atmosphere of SIlent Hill," he writes.
